Do you charge by the hour or by the job?

It depends.

If I charge by the job YOU WILL KNOW how much I’m charging for each job BEFORE I start any work.

If I charge by the hour YOU WILL KNOW estimate how many hours that job will take.

Can you supply materials for my job?

Yes. I will help you make the right choice in selecting the right materials. I work with number of supply houses in the area that help us get the right electrical supply at  affordable prices.

I purchased my own supply, can you install it for me?

Yes. I’m more than happy  to install any supply you have already purchas and I will make sure it is done correctly and stand behind my workmanship.

What areas do you serve?

I live in Naperville; IL and I serve southwest suburbs of Chicagoland.

What should I do in the case of a blackout?

My smoke detector won’t stop making noise, can you fix it?

In most cases, a constant chirp is an indicator of a low battery condition. We suggest you try changing the battery on the smoke detector, but if it continues to produce problems, we’re happy to come and help out.

Why do my lightbulbs burn out so often?

This is a common question for us, and the answer is pretty simple: low quality, non-branded bulbs are more likely to burn out quickly. The use of wattages larger than the suggested rating can also burn out bulbs rapidly. If you’re using high quality bulbs of the correct wattage but still experience frequent burnouts, it might be due to power surges in your property’s electrical grid.

Should I have surge protection on my home appliances?

Multiplex power outlets that provide surge protection can and do save appliances like televisions, stereos and computers. Even if you have mainline protection against power surges, additional protection down the line helps assure nothing goes wrong in the face of potential disaster. The one situation in which you don’t want to have surge protection is when using voltage converters, such as those necessary to plug in 220-volt European appliances in American outlets.

What should I do if my circuit breakers have tripped?

First, disconnect any devices that may have caused the circuit breaker to overload. These safety devices are designed to trip when too much current is flowing, so you’ll probably have to remove one or two appliances in order to put it back. To reset the circuit breaker, find your electrical panel and look for the breaker facing away from all the others—that’s the one you want to pull back in line with the rest of your breakers.
